Story for a Medium Content Curator Who Quit

This one is for you, buddy. I wrote this about 8 years ago and thought it might give you some insight or cheer you up. I respect your decision and celebrate it.

Quitters. Yes, you may think it equates with Losers. Hah! You sit there in your lofty armchair or whatever. Do you know how much balls it takes to quit? Not that I quit the Marine Corps, I went over the edge a bit and they Honorably Expelled me from the fraternity. But, as I look back, there were many times where I have actively and consciously quit things, the Boy Scouts, Freshman Football, and well, so it seems, many jobs. Yes, I have been employed in many different areas, somewhere in the range of between twenty to thirty different employers. Loser? Maybe, or at least in the eyes of the world. Who really gives a shit about the world anyway? So, let’s have a little pseudo-Biblical fun. I was a floral worker who begat a haunted attraction employee scaring people for minimum wage and Army Reservist who gave birth to a travel and tourism seasonal front desk schlepper back to a floral worker and then on to a short order cook and hotel maintenance man who begat an ice cream scooper and coke dealer which joined the Marines building aviation weapons in an ammo dump in Southern California. Oh, this could on for quite some time and bore you to…
