Hello from Ukraine again. All quiet here where we are, thankfully. Yes, give me an intelligent atheist for conversation over a starry-eyed Christian any day. You do know that some of our (Eastern Orthodox) greatest thinkers and theologians were schooled in Hellenistic thought? (St. Basii, St. Gregory and many more). Thus, we approach many explainable phenomena from a rational standpoint while accepting the mystery of that which we cannot explain. Rationality and philosophy is mentioned throughout "The Philokalia" which contains much from the early centuries of Christianity (Desert Fathers). Take care, Benjamin.
