Kyiv is still there and waiting for you. Use your time in NYC and come back because Kyiv and Ukraine will need you when the war is over. I am from New Jersey and live in Kyiv with my wife from Belarus (now a US citizen and a "TOTAL" Jersey Girl). We went to Western Ukraine after living through the Battle of Kyiv only in October because I need Internet and electricity to do my remote job in Atlantic City, NJ (ironic, huh?).
