I came up as a white boy in Jersey under the tutelage of Earth, Wind and Fire; Kool and the Gang; Stevie Wonder; Chaka Khan and all those from the 70's that we played with the windows down on the way to the shore. I did the Ft. Jackson thing in the summer of 1982 before being shipped off to Ft. Benning for boot for US Army Reserves in between junior and senior year of high school then Parris ISland in 1985 because well, troop, Army Boot Camp ain't good enough for the Corps.
