05:37 This is my missive on the morning missiles from the Muscovites. Vreem! Vroom! Sounds singing over our heads in our slumber. We slept through the Air Raid Alarms as many here do. That’s how the malicious malcontent marauders murder more and more. Killing us not so softly with their song. This morning, our war intuition woke us up and we could hear the KH 101 missiles flying their patterns overhead. No time to go to the shelter so we used our only chance, standing under two retaining walls. That’s our go-to most of the time. You go outside to run to the Air Raid Shelter and run the risk of missile debris falling, injuring or killing you. Usually, I think of a few lines from Bob Seger’s song “Night Moves” when the explosions wake us up. They came into my head as we sat and listened to the Kyiv Air Defense shooting the missiles down. The lines are this “I woke last night to the sound of thunder. How far off I sat and wondered? Started hummin’ a song from 1962. Ain’t it funny how the night moves?” Now, I haven’t changed the words to reflect the woe of war life. There are just certain tunes that trim the terror a tad in war.
