Lead, follow or go your own way. No, not the Fleetwood Mac song. Is leading a moral imperative, an obligation? Is it a blessing? Where will you lead? Yes, boy, we see your potential, now go out there and get it. Get what, exactly? Leadership, is it a skill that can be learned or just something you are born with? Are we who have these qualities endowed by the Creator to utilize them? Do you know how difficult it is to have these qualities and not utilize them? Ah, yes, I have struck a chord, I see. You think one should use these qualities, skills, blessings, don’t you? Well, it would be easy if I thought I really wanted to be a Captain of Industry or maybe a Military Man and of course, there are sports. I have forgotten one, the Spiritual Leader. I actually once considered the occupation of Spiritual Leader and you can put whatever name on that as you like but not one that includes becoming celibate. But what if you don’t quite feel a fit with any of these? Bloody confusing, that’s what. There is this fire inside that is burning and can’t seem to be put out. I lack the faith it takes to start a revolution, although, deep inside I feel that is what we need most. And who am I to speak for God or even have any authority to seem to speak for Him or press my own beliefs on some non-believer? Trust not in Princes in Sons of Men and that includes yourself.
