Since you are into philosophy, I recommend Nicholas Berdyaev's "Slavery and Freedom" where he lays out many of the premises that Orwell and Huxley touch upon in their works of fiction. Some translations of Berdyaev's work are available for free on a few websites that you can easily Google. Mind you, a certain grain of salt is needed as he writes from the perspective of an Orthodox Christian but he hits all the points on a very deep (and at times very wordy) level.
