Some of us pride ourselves on not knowing what is popular because none of it seems to be worthy of our time and energy. Vast swathes of content have no cultural value and well, don't seem to make any sense. Additionally, all that useless content is sucking up valuable natural resources. Not advocating censorship but the movie "Idiocracy" seems to be prophetic.
