Tad shame you don't like bees (honeybees specifically). I was beekeeper when I lived in the US and found to far more satisfying as a past time compared to writing. Now, that said, I am the type (much like you, I think) that uses writing as an outlet\hobby. Here in Ukraine, I try to find other outlets but it is difficult in a 54 meter flat. Maybe find an outlet for your self that does not cause so much angst and frustration and balance it with occasional writing? If I move to the country, I'm going back to beekeeping.
