The missile strike in central Kyiv was about 600 meters from our flat right on the path where we walk our dogs. We missed it by about 20 minutes. Yes, the precision weapons are in short supply but the S-300's are from what we hear in stock to the tune of about 3200. Not precise but still a major threat to civilians and infratstructure if launched in large barrages. The 2400 Sahed 136 drones on order with Iran are also not a major threat but could be used to kill civilians as well although these are slow and easy to shoot down. So, this could be a long, hard winter in Ukraine. The 4 IRIS-T from Germany are in country today as are 2 additional HIMARS systems. We need the NASAMS like yesterday. Putin is far from even looking for an off-ramp. Word on the ground in Ukraine is summer 2023.
