The older you get, the less scary death becomes (at least in my case). The other part is the Orthodox approach or outlook on death that I learned when I was converted. This says to be prepared and think of death everyday. Back during the Battle of Kyiv, I remember standing at Divine Liturgy in St. Volodymyr's Cathedral as an air raid siren sounded and we could hear explosions. What did we do? The priest kept on with the service and the choir kept singing. On Pascha 2022, the bells of St. Michael's Monastery were louder than the air raid sirens that night but we could hear it in the background. I think that how you approach death really depends on how you look at life. Anyway, we're still here, aren't we?
