This is a very insightful piece. Here are a couple of points. First, human interaction in a restaraunt setting is one of the pleasures of going out to eat so how do you think that will change? Personally, if some robot is waiting on me or mixing my drink, I'd rather eat\drink at home. People go places for the experience and the human interaction. How does that get modernized and automated without taking out the "personal touch"? Also, I also think you have made a good point about brick-and-mortar retail. Here's the big dilemma with that one. How do we repurpose that vast amount of developed space? Nobody will be happy if it sits there and rots and even worse, they are torn down and the waste is sent to a landfill. How to we make use of that space and reduce waste? There will possibly be some big money in that and possibly a serious reduction in homelessness. That's if we can set aside our greed, of course.
