Well, as a former US Marine in Ukraine, I can say if you want to be a true writing warrior then come here as the amount of material to be mined is extraordinary. Just take into account that some of us "Warrior Poets\Writers" don't give a shit what the world thinks and are not seeking any kind of fortune. What is the object of writing? To be read. Maybe for some, the answer is to sell what they write. Some of us write because it's something that exists deep within our soul that must be let out like a caged animal. I post my material for free because the story is stronger than the dollar.
