Well, I have found that here in the Ukraine War, I can read very little fiction. There's something about the realism of war that makes one not want to read anything but the truth. Funny, I don't read any "Self-Help" garbage because how will any of that help maintain the spirit and psyche in a war zone? Another point is that many of the classics are free on Project Gutenburg so why wouldn't people read them versus paying for dribble? I did read one work of fiction here by a Ukrainian author (Ivan Franko's Zachary Berkut) which is also available free through the University of Toronto's Electronic Library of Ukrainian Literature. Anyone who wants to know the spirit of why Ukraine is fighting the way they are can find it in this fictional novel. Please pass it on if you are so inclined.
