Well said. I am at the rather comfortable age of 56 now and can totally identify with how you feel. The place for me now is, just let me keep this income unil I at least hit minimum Social Security age and don't let those douchebags in DC raise it before then. You will be fine in the end, I didn't save much for retirement and am plugging along just fine, learning a new language and living overseas, so if I can do it in my mid-50's, you can in your 40's. On a final note, as I sat on my balcony the other day listening to a random blues mix while having mid-priced Scotch with a mid-priced cigar, the lyrics were "Too old to die young" in the chorus. Made me laugh and feel appreciative at the same time. Hope that gives you something to think about. Peace.
