What? You're saying that Moscow is not the Third Rome as the Muscovites have been claiming and enforcing for years? If Dostoyevsky said it was so, it must be so. As an (American) Orthodox Christian in Kyiv, the hypocrisy of this whole thing was duly exposed years ago. Yet, the ROC still holds sway over many parishes, clergy and people here. They will continue to do so until civil society chooses its "official" Orthodox Church and not to be confused with a "national" church.
