Will give you an "A" for effort but most in the West know nothing of the "Treaty of Pereyaslav" to which I assume you are referring. Russia's war against Ukraine is actually a two "front" war. The first front is with Ukraine for not wanting to be Muscovy's loyal subject and the fact that Muscovites cannot face that they are not the original "Rus" while Kyiv is. The second is a proxy war that just happens to have developed because well, it's convenient for NATO and the West to allow Ukraine to carry the heavy baggage and loss of life. Many of us Westerners who are in Ukraine and have stayed here throughout the war understand exactly what Ukraine is fighting for and are trying to let our fellow Westerners know. However, they tend to see life only through their particular Western lens and are yet unwilling to admit that this war will very possibly change the dynamics and politics of Europe for decades or centuries. If you are going to try to convince people of the truth, don't point fingers or blame otherwise they will not listen. I applaud your reasons and efforts but you may want to rethink your tactics. Slava Ukraina!
