An Existential Rant of a Soon Would Have Been Writer

Author Pic from Downtown Kyiv July 2022

The other day as I walked the streets of Kyiv, my mind wandered to the digital world. My mind, not my eyes on those seemingly demonic contraptions we use to communicate and scroll. I thought about history, the one we are making now and have been since the age of digitalization. What are we creating exactly? I thought that what we have now is the largest archive of humanity that has only come into being in the last what…40 years? Now, Project Gutenberg and all the other digital libraries of ancient texts and art aside, I am talking about what we are creating. Take a minute and think about that one…

Now think about the insane level of digital propaganda. How much useful information is there in comparison to well…tripe, junk, kaka? Maybe somebody with a huge grant from a mega foundation ought to let us know. Then again, it would be a matter of opinion, wouldn’t it?

How much energy are we sucking up out of the earth and atmosphere for what makes the film “Idiocracy” look like an actual prophecy? Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of intellectually stimulating content out there and plenty to expand…
