Yes, Tom. My contact and friend here in Kyiv who is UAF lower ranking officer actually displayed the "lines of text" on a Facebook page. So, this was a bit more hullabaloo then it was actually worth. There tends to be both a primarily reactive component to Ukrainian society that doesn't deal as well with the proactive culture of the UAF. That said, I think that President Zelensky and his entire team are under a constant barrage of whining from the general population including mothers of individual soldiers who are calling in complaining that their son has trench foot (Arestovysch laughingly makes sarcastic light of this on a regular basis). So, the answer to Mom would be...Send him more socks and tell him to change them regularly. Anyway, that's my view as an American here in Ukraine who is not fighting physically and has some insider contacts.
