My friend, Roman Cybriwsky (he just passed away 4 days ago) a Ukrainian-American wrote a book titled "Kyiv: City of Domes and Demons" that explores some of the ancient history but mainly focuses on events from the fall of Soviet Union to modern times. A truly in-depth book in English about the history of Kyiv still needs to be written, I think. Maybe you could work on a series of articles for Medium as I think they might be very popular if you present it as a Displaced Kyivan. Be safe. Victory will come soon enough.
