Your story shows a stark reality and reminds me of the early days during the Battle of Kyiv. Every time we left the house, all unfamiliar faces had the potential to be a Russian saboteur or agent. The major difference being that in LA, I guess you have to be prepared to run or hide where here we had to be ready to attack and kill. A sad state of affairs and survival on both sides, no matter how you look at it.
